New, but not added yet! I now have connected with relatives on my Grandmother Sophie Peterson's side of the family.

The Peterson side of my family has deep roots in Sweden, with both grandparents from Ronneby, Blekinge. With the help of Swedish genealogists, I have been able to trace one branch of my family tree back to the 1700's.

On the Nelson side, I have made much progress in the last six months.

My grandmother, da Nelson (Agda Johansdotter):
I received an exciting email in January, 2006 from Kerstin Wallin from Sweden. Kersten's grandmother was a sister of Andrew Hokanson (Anders Håkansson). Andrew was the husband of Johanna "Jenny" Hokanson (Johanna Johansdotter). Johanna was a sister of my grandmother, Ida Nelson. Kerstin has sent information about Ida (Ida's name was Agda), her brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, and even farther back.

Ida lived in Vallby, Kristianstad, Skåne, Sweden.

My grandfather, Paul Nelson was from Trondheim, Norway. His foster/adoptive family, his birth mother and father, all lived in Trondheim, Norway. This information is included on this web page.

My sisters and I are documenting our American family history though photos and documents, and scrapbooking our family.

It is the relationships I am developing with my cousins and individuals who are connected to our family in other ways, that means the most to me.

Peace and Love,
Ruth
