This photo was taken in 1896 and shows Earyween Farmhouse, on the road up the East Baldwin Valley. Earyween is on the Eastern side of the road, and the ground floor is slightly below road level. Harry QUIGGIN's book states that his parents were living at Earyween, moved to a small thatched cottage nearby, and that when his mother remarried, she moved to Earyween (with John KERMODE). Earyween was in good condition and being lived in when my wife, Jennifer, and I visited the IOM in 1989.
