This view across Baldwin and the Baldwin Valley towards the south was published on page 1 of "The Isle of Man, The Manx Inheritance", a tourism publication of the IOM Tourist Board. In the distance it shows South Barrule, and in the foreground the road running north up the East Baldwin Valley, bounded by trees and shrubs. The short private roads off it, to the west and the south-west, lead to the "QUIGGIN" farms, Ballagarey and Ballawhillin, in the right of the picture. Another "QUIGGIN" farm, Eary-Ween, is located on the eastern side of the valley road, further up the valley, and is just out of the picture. I have acquired a painting of this lovely scene, by Margaret Ficker of the NSW Manx Society.
