This photo has been scanned from a photocopy of a small photograph, which is presumed to have been taken in a studio in the 1860's, when Margaret QUIGGIN's husband, Robert QUIGGIN, had his photo taken at Kieg's studio in Douglas, IOM. The photo was annotated "My GRANNY" by Lilly Pearl SCHUBERT nee QUIGGIN. Margaret QUIGGIN nee CAIN was 32 years younger than her husband, Robert QUIGGIN(1797-1869), who had employed her as a housekeeper on his farm, BallaGarey, before they married. After Robert QUIGGIN's death, she married Charles QUAYLE(1827-1917) in 1870, and became known in the QUIGGIN family as Grandma QUAYLE.
