  • William Noble Elliott , my great-greatgrandfather. (181 KB)
    "Nobe" as he was known by, was the son of Susan Brunk and George W. Elliott. He was born on 7Jan1844 in Larue County, Kentucky. He died on 14Aug1932 and was buried at Round Mountain Cemetery not far from his home in Wyman, Arkansas.

    Indiana was the eldest child of George W. King and Tennessee Ann Combs King. Beside her is her husband, John Fincher, Sr. Back row are Nora Fincher, Tom Luther Fincher, John Luther Fincher and Charles Fincher.

    My paternal grandparents. This photo was taken to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. "Mom" and "Pop" were married September 22, 1923. Mom was suffering from recurrent breast cancer and died fourteen months later. Leslie's grandfather was Noble.

    Jeremiah was born in July of 1788 in Virginia. He married Charity Rhodes in 1810 in Tennessee. He died on 01 Feb 1867 in Madison County, AR. He and Charity are buried in the Kingston Cemetery.

    Peter Mankins,Sr. lived to be 111 yrs, 3 mths and 11 days old. He is the oldest man to have died in Washington County. He is buried in Reese's Cemetery in Washington County,Arkansas. He was born on 19Sep1770 at Cedar Point, Maryland.

  • Lily Belle Fields Elliott (36 KB)
    My mother, Lily Belle Fields was born on April 5, 1928 to George Dewey Fields and Cisiah Fields in Carcassone, Kentucky. She married Loye Leon Elliott in Baldwin, Arkansas on June 24, 1949. She died on March 28, 1965 and is buried at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
  • Brack Thompson, Louanza Spicer Fields grandson (16 KB)
    Brack Thompson was the son of Breck Thompson. Breck was my grandmother, Cisiah Fields half brother. Their mother was Louanza Spicer Thompson Fields.
  • Peter Mankins, Jr., and Esther Hanna (167 KB)
    My great-great-great-grandfather and his second wife. His first wife, Anna Narcissa Mills the mother of my gr-gr-grandmother Priscella Mankins Strain.
  • Cisiah and George Dewey Fields at Richmond College (42 KB)
    My maternal grandparents were introduced while attending Richmond College in Eastern Kentucky. They both were educated at teachers (something I did not know until just a few years ago).
  • Loye and Betty Hall Elliott (165 KB)
    Loye is standing next to his second wife, Betty. Betty passed away in January and Loye in October of 2008. They are buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

    Robert and Priscella are the parents of my great-grandmother, Minerva Jane "Janie" Strain Wilson.
