I have checked our records for the marriage license, for your genealogy of Clarence Richard Elvin, without success. They could have been married in St. Anthony, however, received a license in another county. I would try Madison County 208-356-3662. Our adjoining counties started leaving our county which was a large county, in 1914. Our birth records are only from 1907-1911, which would not include the information, that you needed. I also feel that the records, in those years, are only if the Dr. decided to send them in.

Census inconsistency not clear (clarence richard vs richard f), same month of birth, off by a year. Sarah's obituary states the couple had six children. Not clear why Clarence not included in list of children alive at time of her death (obituary states that three of their six children were dead-- AR is Abraham Ross, Cora and Maggie specifically listed in obit; William died in WWII, leaving Jesse and Richard not "found"). Clarence, Ross and Cora alive in Dad's obit.

Clarence R Elvin
Memorial services for Clarence Richard Elvin, 82, will be held at the Elks Lodge in Albequerque, Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home announced.
Mr. Elvin, 2812 W. Van Buren was killed Sunday in an auto-pedestrian accident at 29th Avenue and Van Buren.
He came to Phoenix in 1940 from Las Vegas, and had also lived in Tucson. He was a real estate broker in Tucson and had been a plumbing, heating and building contractor in New Mexico.
He was a member of the Plumbers Union, the Elks and Moose lodges and Woodmen of the World. He was born in Kansas.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Sykes of Encino, Calif., and Mrs. Jean Scott, of Lagune Beach, Calif.; a brother and a sister out of state; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests contributions to the Elks National Foundation, 2929 N. 44th St., or to charity.
