She married ASHBEL WEBSTER 1753, son of JONTATHAN WEBSTER and MABEL RISLEY. He was born 12 March 1732/33 in Glastonbury, Hartford Co., Connecticut.

9. JOHN4 PRICE (EBENEZER3, SAMUEL2, ROBERT1) was born 19 March 1768 in Wethersfield, CT, and died 03 June 1831. He married PRUDENCE HARVEY, daughter of ROBERT HARVEY and RACHEL STEWART. She was born 22 November 1770 in East Hamdam, Middlesex Co., CT.

Notes for J
OHN PRICE:
Montgomery states that "the only evidence that his John was the John, son of Ebenezer, is that on his gravestone, his age is given as 63 at death on 3 June 1831, which checks exactly with the birth date of 19 March 1768. (Ref. Chautauqua Co., NY Cemeteries, by Minnie Cowan, 1931, page 27). Also, John's home at Wethersfield was not too far from that of the woman he married, Prudence Harvey, both along the Connecticut River.
I find no record of his marriage but it is most likely in 1796 or before when he married Prudence Harvey, daughter of Robert and Rachel (Stewart) Harvey. She was born at East Hamden, Middlesex Co., Ct. 22 Nov. 1770.
Shortly after their marriage they must have been attracted by the idea of buying land at Colt's Station, PA. Judah Colt had purchased an extensive amount of land in Greenfield Township, present Erie Co., and had opened a land office known as Colt's Station in 1795. He opened a road from Lake Erie to his Station which was about eleven miles from present Erie, and is near the NY state line. (Note that John's aunt, Dorothy Price, had married Jabish Colt. Perhaps Judah was their son.) Here at Colt's Station, several children were born to them."...
"Probably in 1807, after the birth of their daughter, Lucretia, the family removed to Portland Township, Chautauqua Co., NY. On page 311 of the Historical Sketches of Portland, written in 1873, regarding John Price: 'was originally from NewEngland, and settled firstly at Colt's Station, Erie Co., PA. He came from there to Portland in 1806 and settled on part of lot 33, T 5, land now owned by Edward McGarrall.' He built his log shanty on the SE part, in which he lived until 1815, when he built a log house on the ground now occupied by the house of Mr. McGarrall. In 1828 he exchanged farms with Norman Mibbie of Westfield, taking a farm on the west side of the Baptist Church, Brocton, uniting in February 1820.
"Mrs. Price removed to Iowa with a married daughter.
"In the History of Chautauqua Co., it is stated that John Price made an original purchase of lot 39, Township 5 in Portland, Chautauqua Co., in July 1809. They are listed in the 1820 census.
Records of the First Baptist Church, Brockton, NY show that the church was organized in 1819 and that Polly Andrus was baptized 20 Sept. 1819 by Elder Wilson, shortly after the church was formed. The children John and Lucretia were baptized 28 February 1820 by Elder Wilson, and finally, Prudence Price was baptized 8 April 1820.
In 1828 the family again removed to the vicinity of Mayville, Westfield township, on the northeast side of Chautauqua Lake, and here, about 3 years later, on 3 June 1831, John Price died.
The Probate Record of John Price's estate was taken at Mayville, 13 May 1833. It names John H. Price as executor, besides the following: widow Prudence, Erastus, James L. (minor), Cyrus, Anson Starksweather (husband of Lucretia), Polly Light, Simeon Lincoln (husband of Olive), and Hiram.
By putting together the information from the 1830 census, the probate record, and information obtained by correspondence from various sources, especially from Bernice Wheatley (Mrs. Dee H.) Gerrin of Cherokee, IA, I have reconstructed the probable order of birth of the children of John and Prudence (Harvey) (see family record)

Notes for P
RUDENCE HARVEY:
Montgomery states: The widow Prudence lived her last years in the home of her daughter, Polly Andrus (Mrs. Horace Andrus) at Lima, Fayette Co., Iowa. She is shown there in the 1856 census of IA, in which she states she had been in the state for 4 years, but gives her age as 82. She seemingly would have been about 86. She is not recorded in the 1860 census there, so presumably died before 1860.

EZEKIAH PRICE:
Hezekiah was an innkeeper in Somerset Co., NJ in 1786. Was in NJ census in 1793. On tax list, Hamilton Co., Ohio in 1796. His name was mentioned in newspapers frequently concerning the Republican Corresponding Society during his terms of office.

He was active in civic affairs in Hamilton Co. Ohio, participating in the first election held in Columbia Twp, 1803.

In one marriage notice, a "Miss Price" states that her father was also a carpenter and builder at Madisonville, Ohio. This daughter married A. B. Lunbeck of Madisonville, Ohio. A. B. Lunbeck was born in Chilillicothe, Ohio

children John and Sarah L. were not listed in Hezekiah's will. Probably deceased. His Hamilton Co., Ohio will, signed 1 April 1830, and filed 10 April 1830, named wife, Anne; eldest son, Clarkson; second son, Peter; third and youngest son, William R; eldest daughter Hanna Crain; second daughter, Susannah Radabaugh; third daughter Esther Ryan; fourth and youngest daughter, Katherine S. Price. He bequeathed to William R., a house and lot in Mechanicsburgh, Butler Co., Ohio, being lot #4 of the original plot of said town; and William was named executor of his estate

The Applecreek Cemetery at East Union Twp, Wayne Co, Ohio, lists:
      Price, child of H. & A., 1851
      Price, William, son of H. & A., 1854, age 8 (would be 1846)

Birth date could be 14 May 1761, according to Carol Biehl (Price web site)

It is believed he, his wife, some children and other family members were buried in a cemetery on his farm in Montgomery, Hamilton Co., Ohio. This later became the Radabaugh farm. The cemetery was torn down and it is not known where or if the bodies were reinterred.
