They originally settled in NY, IN, NE, CA, and Canada. Also, any families that intermarried with any of the above. Especially looking for Elijah Steele family of Pompton Plains,NJ; Haverstraw, NY; and Cleveland, OH. Information about his sister, Jerusha Ann Steele, b. Pompton Plains 1831, who married William W. Searby in Nyack, NY. Other surnames: Van Tassel, Fensel, Schroeder, McBride, Plowright. |
