* Sears Families of South Georgia Home Page*

Updated September 6, 2000

John Sears RS relocated from North Carolina around 1796 and settled in Montgomery county, Georgia. He appears in land records in Montgomery and Laurens county. His descendants settled in Montgomery, Appling, Ware, Coffee and Wheeler counties. I have hundreds of names of family members and would like to exchange any information of the name Sears. There were 3 John Sears located in NC during this time. Would like to find the one who came to Georgia. His wife was named Tabitha and he had a son named David and a daughter named Pollie. It is also possible he came from Virginia or Maryland and just passed through NC. Any help will be aprrecciated.
