Eleanore (Monahan)(1845 - 1884) Sears. They were married in St.
Mary's R.C. Church, Ballinrobe, Co.Mayo, Ireland, on 14 Jan.1861.
They had nine(9) children together.
1. Bridget b. Jan 1862
2. Maria Margaret b. Apr 1863
3. Mark Joseph b. Dec 1865
4. Myles b. Jul 1868
5. James b. Jul 1870 / died as a child

7. Agnes Esther b. Apr 1873
8. Mary Elizabeth b. May 1877
9. John Thomas b. Jun 1880 / died as an infant
David Sr. is reported to have been the son of Patrick
(1776 - 1860) and Mary (Joyce)(1798 - 1868)Sears, of a nearby
hamlet called "The Neale", just outside Ballinrobe. They are
buried in the cemetery adjacent to Old St. Mary's Church, which
is now in ruins.
Our branch of this SEARS family descends from David Jr., who
emmigrated to the U.S. in 1891, resided for a short time in New
York City, and then moved to Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey.
