I am looking for information on the George Seal family from Birmingham, England that immigrated to Toronto, Canada during the 1920's. Mother's name was Florence (Peppal) Seal. Their childred were Hannah(Seal)Faulkner, George Seal, Alf Seal, Fred Seal, Tom Seal, and Charles William Seal. All remained in the Toronto area from the 1920's - 1990's (by which time they were all deceased) which the exception of Fred, who returned with his wife Ada to Birmingham and Tom, who moved with his family to Southern California in 1946.

The Tom Seal family (California) is my family. Tom and Minnie (Saxton)Seal had three sons -- Tom, Fred, John. Tom died in 1993, but Fred and I (John) are still here (!).

Any information on the "senior" Seal branch from England/Canada would be appreciated.

I would also like information on the John Saxton family (my mother's) from Stapleford, Yorkshire, England. The Saxton family migrated to Canada about 1912. The mother was Florence (Cook) Saxton and there were a number of children including Minnie (my mother) John ("Jack"), Mabel, and others. The family settled originally, I think, in Orilla, north of Toronto. Subsequently, they moved to Toronto. Mabel married Ernest Goldsworthy who served in The Great War. They had a number of children including Ernest Goldsworth, Mabel, Ivy, and Lillian. I believe that many of the Goldsworthys still live in the Toronto area. John Saxton (my mother's brother) married Mamie Mars and they had no children.

If you know any of these people or their children, I would appreciate hearing from you. Over the years, I lost track of my Canadian relatives and since my parents are dead and I have none of their records, I have no way to investigate this part of my genealogy.

Thank you.

John G. Seal
