With so many Searles Families out there, and wondering what my heritage was, I decided to start documenting what I can about our family's ancestors and descendants. This Searles Branch is one of Five Brothers that came from England to the New World after the Mayflower. Story has it that they decided to split up and go each in their own direction. So this is my journey of tracing ancestors, finding relatives, hearing stories, and adding new information on current events for this Family.
I am looking for information on the Leach side of this family as I am told that one was married to a Cherokee Indian Princess. Also there is a floating story of one of the Leaches founding Leachville in AR. I am hoping to solve some of these.
I still know very little, but I am working on this as best as I can. My grand-father Leslie Searles married Regina Leach in Ohio(deceased). They had four children, David A., Jeanne Ann, Calvin Mark, and John Leslie. All are still Living except Calvin Mark whom we lost in July of 2005. Any information that anyone may have would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share what I have. If I have something incorrect please let me know so I can change it. Since Starting this page I have gotten in contact with a cousin and my great aunt and uncle Mary Lou and Calvin Clark Leach. I am happy to announce I am learning about the Leach side of my family.
