This page will contain over 30 years of research on the lineages of Lancer Seaman, Sallyann Berg and Lori Trigg. The SEAMAN lineage is mainly in PA. Gardner SEAMAN b. 1787 was b. in MASS but went to PA from NJ about 1805. He settled in Tioga and Bradford County, PA. His eldest dau, Jane Freeman Seaman b. 1811, married Daniel Merrill SHAW and remained in Tioga Co., PA. The eldest son, Samuel Buck SEAMAN b. 1810, removed to Cambria Co., PA. Some connecting lines are AMSBAUGH, KNEPPER, PRINGLE of Cambria and Indiana Co., PA; EBERSBERGER of Allegheny Co., PA. Another son of Gardner, Henry "Gilbert" SEAMAN, left descendants in Dauphin Co., PA. Another dau, Sarah SEAMAN, married ??? BROCK but this line has not yet been followed. Gardner SEAMAN is believed to have been the son of David SEAMAN who was in Tioga Co., PA in 1830.
The TRIGG lineage is from Ohio in the early 1800's, then settling in MO. Some connecting lines are HANCOCK, WISELEY and APPLEGATE.
The BERG lineage is documented back to Orenhofen, Rheinland, Germany to the 1700's. Some connecting lines are THAUREN and GRELLE, also documented back to Germany, but much earlier. These 3 families settled in Muscatine, Iowa in the mid 1800's.
The maternal lines of Sallyann BERG include the surnames REMINGTON & CHAPDELAINE of French Canada, HAKES & PECK of MI & NY, MAYER & REIS (pioneers of CA), LOUCKS, BEEBE and numerous more. Church records show Edward REMINGTON b. about 1854 French Canada to be the son of Charles REMINGTON and Sarah CHAPDELAINE. The REMINGTON's often used the surname CHAPDELAINE. Edward married near The Dalles, Wasco Co., OR in 1880 and descendants lived in CA, OR and WA. What happened to Edward after his divorce in 1891?
