THE FAMILY OF MY MOTHER. This work is dedicated to my mother's ancestors. The Gaters, Teabys, McCrackens, Howards, Smiths, Ross' and Williams. All of these ancestors settled in California between the years 1846 and 1876. They fought in the Mexican-American war, crossed the plains in covered wagaons, sailed around the horn in ships, farmed the virgin land, and mined for gold. They were the pioneers, Argonauts, farmers, blacksmiths, and stage drivers of early California. Without their dreams and sacrifices we would not be enjoying the good-life we have today. All I really want to know are ALL of the names of ALL of the descendants of ALL the ancestors of ALL my grandchildren. |
