Our heritage comes from a quardro of nationalities; east and west Africa, American Indian (Blackfeet & Chatot {Choctaw}), European and the British West Indies (Amerindian). Our grand children are the reason we have created this web page. We did not want them to forget our heritage after we had left this world. We want to leave behind our legacy for them to remember years beyond this moment in time. The thought frightened us and about having no heritage to leave them and that they would have nothing to cherish of their rich history. In dire efforts to reach them and reacquaint ourselves we began to make notes of what we knew and remembered about our grandparents. We also called and coresponded many, many times with our mothers, Aunts, Uncles and Great cousins; Bobbie Woodberry, Elzabeth Ransey, Atlois Henderson-Farmer, Danny Johnson, Myrtle Shepard, Annie Jewel Henton and Dorthy & Elmore Perkins. We call these people in our family the Matriarchs, they are our foundations. I like to thank them for being there when we would call them day and night, sometimes asking the same questions we had asked the last times. Their patience and cooperation has our ultimate graditude and we commend and love them. May God continue to bless and keep them always. The time and allegance we gave to producing this heirloom took away from personal and private time, we had to put many of our normal activities on the back burner to obtain a certifications in Genelogical Studies, and do acurate research. We thank our husbands and wives who took up most of the slack in our daily duties, and to our children, you all are our breath of life. We love you always. |
