I am the un-official historian of our family. Since we no longer have a yearly Coldiron Reunion, this web site will hopefully keep us all in touch. The only gathering that the family has as of this date is the annual meeting of the members and officers of the Mount Homer Cemetery Association which is held in April and all members will be notified by mail and/or telephone as to the exact date of that meeting. If you have any questions concerning the family, please let me know, and I will try to answer to the best of my ability. This site is dedicated to Maudie Faye Mauldin Coldiron (1907-2005) who was my grandmother.

  • Williams family cemetery. Mt. Homer, Milano, Tx (220 KB)
Site of Mt. Homer Baptist Church, school and cemetery. Founded in 1863 by James Watson and Robert Thomas Williams. Dedicated as Texas Historic Cemetery in 2005. There are now approx. 42 grave sites, two dedication markers and five unknown graves located in this cemetery as well as the knowledge that African-American slaves were buried in the southwest corner, but, due to the destruction by oil company machines, those rock markers have been lost.
