I am researching the Sefton family from Yorkshire, England. George Sefton was born around 1811-1813, possibly in Kirk Smeaton or Pontefract, Yorkshire and married Elizabeth Higgins in 1835 in Rothwell. Their son George married Emma Hirst in 1871 in Leeds and their son George Thomas married Hannah Margaret Carter in 1898 in Swillington. I am the grandson of their son Thomas Sefton, born 1900 in Swillington, Yorkshire.
I am also researching the Roe(Rowe)family from Suffolk, England and Yorkshire, England. Richard Roe(Rowe)was born in Rattlesden, Suffolk in 1792 and fought in the Napoleonic War before marrying Mary Anne Steff in 1823. Their son George married Sarah Padley in 1862 in Rattlesden. They moved to Bradford, Yorkshire in 1882 shortly before George died at the age of 42 from pneumonia and his 3 year old son a month later from malnutrition.
