| This is where I plan to put results from my one-name research of the SEGGIE family. This area is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION so do not expect to find much of anything for a while. My branch of the family moved to North Queensferry, Fife, Scotland in the early 1700's. They worked as blacksmiths and ferry boatmen until the Firth of Forth Railway bridge eliminated most of their business. They then moved into Edinburgh and used their blacksmith skills to work on machinery. My Grandfather came to Canada on his honeymoon in the early 1900's. He was a cabinet maker. Later he became a shop teacher in a Windsor Ontario high school. Other branches of the family have gone to Canada, USA, England and Australia. There are also at least one family in New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. I am happy to share what information I have, and would gladly accept any information on ANY SEGGIE or any SEGGIE descendant. Hope to hear from you. |
