My great grandfather, Fredrick M. Seidel, came to the U.S. from Germany when he was two years old.His father, August, settled in Leavenworth, KS in 1870.In 1889 Fredrick married, Albertine Steiner, and they move to Washington, Daviess Co.,Indiana, via Terre Haute, IN. where they had one child, Harry H. in 1890.
They had atleast five more children in Washington ,John Cleveland (my grandfather), June 1892; Carl August, March 1894; Lucia Bertha, March 1896; Catherine, October 1898; Camilla, April 1902.
In October 1904 Albertine died of Typhoid Fever.
1907-08 Fredrick was listed living in Leavenworth, KS with Cleveland.
June 1909 Fredrick married Sarah Lashley.
November 1912 Fredrick was in Terre Haute, IN when his father dies.
April 1927 Fredrick was in Valley Falls, KS when his mother dies.
In the late 1930's my uncle Carl remembers Fredrick visiting with them. All my uncle remembers is that Fredrick was heading west.
This is all I know of Fredrick.I do not know if he had more children with his second wife or where or when he died.
I do know my Grandfathers obit July 1948, listed one brother, Harry of Indianapolis, and two sisters, Catherine Davidson of Indianapolis, and Camilla Hudson of Anderson, IN.
Any info on Fredrick or his descendants would be appreciated.
