Notes for Samuel Trogdon: The Randolph Co. Genealogical Society's Journal has reproduced the Administrator's bond for Samuel Trogdon, Jr. of Aug. 1, 1831. Bondsmen: William Trogdon, Ure Trogdon, and G. Winningham. Sales of personal property to be on 25 Aug. 1831. Named heirs: Wm. Trogdon, Isaac Trogdon, Samuel Trogdon, Ury Trogdon, Abner Lamb and wife Abigail, Abraham Hammer and wife Catherine, Isaac Allred and wife Rachel, and a Mary Free (Ferree?). The Nov. 1831 inventory included: 10 Negroes: Tamer, Miles, Eady, Richard, Nance, Frank, James, Joseph, Sealy, Peter. A plat of land was allotted to Mary Feree. Final account and settlement, 4 Feb. 1834.
