This site is in a period of contruction. But the extensive Selzer-Brauer family tree is here. Experiment a little and move around it to see the extent of our family branches. For the Brauer side of the family, branches come from East Friesland, Mecklenberg, and Baden -- all areas in current Germany. Another branch comes from Bedfordshire, England. In the case of the Selzers, branches come from Obersilesia, Bessarabis, Poland, and most recently Israel. There is much information about these places on the Internet. Gradually links to this information will appear here. I will enter the 5 allowed photos here and then gradually rotate them. I have been writing anecdotal histories of our family and will link these text items here as they get edited and finished.     John, Oscar prob about 5, Ubbo, probably about 7, Irene down in front, about 3-4 years old, Zeike. Must have been taken before Heiko was born in July 1896.
  • Yohevet Bubis and Isaac Schenker (26 KB)
    Obtained original from Abraham Schenker, their son. These are the parents of Bracha Schenker Selzer. They are my husband Amos' grandparents.
  • Sarah Butcher (20 KB)
    Married Samuel Patrick and came to America, from Lidlington, Bedforedshire, England in 1872. This photo is a typical "cabinet card" photo probably from around the turn of the century. (Here I am guessing somewhat.)
  • Gma and Gpa Patrick (35 KB)
    A question of who this phot is of: doesn't match dates for Sam and Sarah coming over from England. But photo belonged to Annie Patrick and it says Grandma and Grandpa Patrick
  • The Meyer Homestead, Pecatonica (52 KB)
    Ida, Margaret, Katherine, Kate holding Dorothy, Joe, little John down in front, George, Richard, and Harm, holding the horse. Considering Dorothy's apparent age, probably taken in 06-07.
