Kalbacher - Bittner - Humes


Hi, my name is Linda (nee Humes) Selander, and I am looking for my relatives!!! If you know the whereabouts of anyone with the following surnames,Kalbacher, Bittner, Humes from the Philadelphia, PA area, I would like to hear from you.

My great grandparents were Charles & Fredericka Kalbacher, (circa 1880)and they lived on Clapier St., Philadelphia, PA. Charles owned a beer bottling company in Philadelphia and they had several children. My grandfather was Frank William Kalbacher, and he married Clara Bittner in 1908. They had three children, Eleanor, William, and Myrtle. My grandfather had brothers Charles & Harry, and sisters Lean, who I believe owned a candy store on Germantown Ave., Philadelphia and Bert and Tess. Charles relocated to Chicago, IL. My mother is Eleanor Humes and my father is John Black Humes, also of Phila., PA

My grandmother, Clara Bittner had a sister Edna who married Frank's brother Harry and they had two children, Edward & Raymond. My grandmother's mother's name was Ida and she was married to a man whose last name was also Bittner. They were from the Germantown section of Philadelphia. I'm looking for information on the Bittner Family. There was a cousin Wallace Bittner, married to Ida. They had a daughter Eleanor.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone with information.
