I am researching the ancestors of my ggf, Minor Jackson Deason, b. 1829 in SC. He appears on the 1850 census of Lauderdale Co., MS and then moved on to Texas. I have been unable to find the first name of his father. I am also interested in the families of his wife, Mary Virginia Knox, and allied families, Buxton, Bowman, Strange. These families emigrated in 1700's from Scotland.
I am also searching for more information on my ggf Oliver Stutesman (Stutzman, Stootsman) of Germany, PA, IN, OH and TX.
Allied families of Alberty, Dieter, Overholzer.
My ggf, Theodore Scholz, emigrated to TX in 1882 with a large family including my gm Martha Emma. She married Steve Daly/Daily/Dayley whose family emigrated from County Meath, Ireland. The allied families are Littlejohn, Dunn, Jaffrey, from St. Peterhead and Aberdeen areas of Scotland.
I have a great deal of information on the Sergent Family of KY and VA. I will be happy to share information on any of these families
