The "JOHN SERTICH SR. (Sertic)" Clan came from Brinja, Yugoslavia thru New York Dec 1905. John Sr. was married to Katrina Borich (maiden) and had 3 sons, 2 of which died in infancy, 1 son surviving, John Sertich Jr.. They traveled to Kansas, then up to Calumet, Michigan gaining employment with the Northwestern Iron CO. Katrina died in 1910 and John Sr. remarried to Lucia Vranich (maiden) in 1910. Traveled back and forth to Mayville, Wisconsin with the Mining company's railroad and finally settleing in Mayville, Wisconsin. Children born to this union were Nickolas, Mary, Thomas, Katie, Violet.
