My uncle and I are researching our McDaniel ancestors who lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. We are looking for data on William McDaniel, born 1772 in North Carolina, who married a daughter of Thomas Underwood in Spartanburg, SC, and is the father of Abner, John, and Thomas McDaniel. The family later resettled in Roane, Tennessee. Abner McDaniel moved to Hardeman, Co., TN sometime after 1835, and we are descended from Abner. Any information would be appreciated, and I would be happy to share the information that I have.

Mildred Bowen was a School Teacher at The Navajo Nation in Window Rock, AZ prior to her marriage to Paul McDaniel.

When twenty years of age, C.C. McDaniel entered the ministry of the Baptist Church and served various churches in this and other counties for a period of fifty-three years. He was Moderator of the Unity Baptist Association for ten years and was also a member of the board of Trustees of the S.W.B.U., of Jackson. Also, nearly thirty years of his life were spent teaching school.
