I am currently researching all the SFORCINA's that I can. Some of the variations in spelling that I have found are - In England the Surname has been spelt as above and as SFORZINA.In America SFORCINA & SFORSINA have been used.In Italy the name only appears as SFORCINA, and that is the spelling used in Australia.The first Sforcina in Australia was named Mathew, he arrived about 1860 and travelled to the Victorian Goldfields where he had 3 sons and a daughter. Mathew was born about 1836 in Gorizia, Italy. He died in Bendigo Victoria Australia on 30 September 1886.He was a teacher, business man and part owner of a gold mine ( without much gold! ).There are over 100 of his descendants alive in Australia today.I am looking for any members of the family in Italy, England or America, I am particularly interested in researching a family tale of there being three brothers who left Italy and Emigrated to Australia, England and America.
