I am researching the foreign ancestors of the Sgamboti Family. This research is initially focusing on Italy and Spain.
In Italy, the Sgambati (now Sgamboti) connection is from the town of Avella in the Campania region near Naples. Sgambati ancestors have been traced back to about 1805. My grandfather, Andrea Sgambati was born in Avella in 1889 and married Filomena Nastri.

The Teodoro and Morelli families come from the town of Solarino in Sicily. I have information back to about 1860 for the Morelli family, and recently found out that Guiseppe Morelli came form the town of Pallazolo Acriede. The Teodoro information goes back further. The connection with my family is on my mother's side through the marriage of Santo Teodoro and Rosina Morelli in Solarino in 1895. One of their daughters (my mother),Maria, married Salvatore Sgamboti, son of Andrea and Filomena in 1936 in New Britain, CT.

In the future, I will be starting to research several families on my wife's side in Spain including, Gimeno, Perez Bano, Gimenez.

Any further information regarding my family ancestry in Italy and Spain will be greatly appreciated.
