| John Henry Schmidt was born in Ankum,Hannover,Germany on 8-5-1793. He married Maria Gertrude Antonette Billenkamp,born 1794 also of Ankum,Hannover,Germany on 2-25-1815. John Henry and Gertrude had the following children;Gerhard Heinrich Wilhelm, Heinrich Bernard,John Heinrich Gerhard, Bernard Heinrich,Johan Friedrich,Maria Gertrude, and Henry. They came to America in 1834,settled in Cincinnati,Ohio and finally settled in Ripley and Franklin Counties, Indiana. ************************************************************************** Andreas Hornberger was born in Steinweiler,Germany,on 8-17-1830. He immigrated to America in 1847, settled for awhile in Cincinnati, Ohio,where he met Mary Elizabeth Kuhn,also of Steinweiler. Their children are Maria Elizabeth,John Philip, Peter,Edward, Louisa, Andrew Jr., Anna, Ellen,Elizabeth and Catherine. They settled in Dearborn, Ripley and Franklin Counties in Indiana. *************************************************************************** John Rhodes/Rhoads/Rhoades was born in Bertie county, North Carolina. He married into the Eason family there and later moved to Tennessee. This was a large family and I have much info on the decendants of the Rhodes/Rhoads/Rhoades family in Bertie county, North Carolina,Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. *************************************************************************** Charles Dotson we believe came from Virginia and is a part of the large Dodson family. Still trying to make a connection there but I do have a large amount of info on the Tennessee Dotson's in Smith/Sumner and Macon counties in Tennessee.
