They first settled in Carteret Co., NC, then moved to Hyde Co., same state, where they lived until 1822, when they move to Wayne Co., same state, where his father lived and they remained until 1831, when they removed to Indiana

Stephen and Hannah Harris live on theirfarm East of winchester until 1853, when they went to live with their son William, then living in Wayne Co.
