      Peter Pineo removed from Lebanon, CT to Coos County, NH for a short time in the early 1750's. He returned to Connecticut and saw military service in Captain RUGGLES' Eighth Company and Captain ELMORE's Seventh Company, Third Regiment during the French and Indian Wars. He then removed to the Township of Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, CANADA where he received 666 2/3 acres of land in the second grant. He became the progenitor of all of the PINEO families of Kings County, Nova Scotia. He was known as "Old Chunk" for his stature, he had dark hair and eyes and was noted for his practical jokes.
