She was born Abt. 1719, and died 21 Jan 1738 in Essex Co., New Jersey. He married (3) HANNAH MUNN Abt. 1738, daughter of JOHN MUNN. She died 1839. He married (4) DESIRE CORY Bet. 25 Jan 1739 - 1740 in New Providence Twp.,Essex Co.,New Jersey, daughter of JOSEPH OR WILLIAM CORY. She was born 19 Sep 1709 in New Providence,Essex Co.,New Jersey ⁷, and died 21 Jun 1793 in Northfield,Essex Co.,New Jersey ^8,⁹.

Notes for TIMOTHY SR. MEEKER:
Timothy served in the Revolution at the battle of Springfield on 23 June 1780 at age 70 with 9 of his sons, 4 son-in-law, and two grandsons. At the time, the Springfield area had seen the British soldiers several times. Old Timothy's participation in the militia was recorded in the New York "Gazette and Weekly Mercury" on 29 July 1776.

Notes for DESIRE CORY:
On 3/4/97 I received information from Professer R. Craig Kammerer Ret.
of Basking Ridge NJ. He visited the Alexander Library of Rutgers
University in which housed in special collections, among others, the
Genealogy Soc. of NJ collections. In the vertical file of documents
for Timothy Meeker Sr. he found a handwritten genealogy of which
stated Timothy Meeker Sr. of Elizabethtown NJ, B1708/9, married for
his third wife, Desire Cory, daughter of William Cory, from Columbia,
Hanover Township, Morris Co NJ. Today Columbia is Florham Park;
Columbia does not exist; Hanover Twp. does exist. There was nothing
further on Desire about her mother or siblings.
