World War II in a gas battalion and was later transferred to field hospitals
in England and France as a medic. Stanley was an avid hunter and fisherman. He
was a member of the Pilsudski Lodge Group No. 2431 of the Polish National
Alliance, and the St. Hedwig Lodge Group No. 499 of the PRCU, and the American
Legion Post No. 270 Local Union No. 1066, the Chicago Zoological Society, the
Nature Camera Club of Chicago, and the Experimental Aircraft Association.

  Notes for Thadeus "Ted" Paul Shabowski:
"Ted" attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated from Lew Wallace High
School in Gary, Indiana. He spent one year at the Oregon Civilian Conservation
Camp. He took Air Force training in radio communication at the Stevens Hotel
in Chicago, Illinois. Ted was reported missing in action in Jan of 1943. The
aircraft he was aboard was reported lost along with its crew. The Army
declared him dead Feb 1944.
