"Mrs. Ethel O. Devine, 81, of 479 N. Main St. died Saturday, July 3, at her residence.
"Born May 13, 1912 in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Amanda Parr and Leonard Grimes.She was the widow of Ford Devine.
"She was an inspector at Corning Glass of Danville,She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class and W.M.U.
"She was a member of the Mercer County Senior Citizens and the Widow to Widow Club.
"Survivors include: two sons, Morgan L. Devine of Marion County and Tony L. Devine of Mercer County; five daughters, Bettye J. Edmonson of Salvisa, Jane E. Reed of Mercer County, Patricia A. Phillips of Mercer County, Carrol Sue Shewmaker of Louisville and Rita K. McGlone of Mercer County; a brother, William T. Grimes of Mercer County; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
"She was preceded in death by two sons, Edwin Andrew and William Robert Devine; a daughter, Deborah Jean Devine, and four grandchildren.
"Funeral services for Mrs. Devine were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.The Rev. James Harley officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
"Pallbearers were grandsons Gary Devine, Todd Edmonson, David Phillips, Tommy McGlone, Allen Devine and John Phillips.
"Honorary pallbearers were members of the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class at Fellowship Baptist Church."
