Autumn's Trace at Sherling Farm
Researching family genealogy for the following names with history in North and Central Georgia: Richards, Bradley, Martin, Elrod, Moss, McCallum, Hamilton, Carter, Kennington and Sherling. The Richards and Bradley lines have roots in the Athens and Northeast Georgia area. The Martin, Elrod (Ellrodt from Germany) and Moss families are from the Dawson-Hall-Forsyth County areas of Georgia. The McCallum, Hamilton and Carter branches have roots in northwest Georgia as well as in Central Georgia. The Kennington and Sherling family lines are concentrated in the central Georgia region. All lines have possible traces back to the Carolinas and Virginia. Much of the Dawson County records were lost in a court house fire many years ago, so that is where the majority of the research is currently focused. The Martin family is particularly active in researching our roots and would welcome any additional information. | Autumn's Trace at Sherling Farm Updated September 5, 2000 |
