May 19, 2001: I received copies of Obits from the St. Joseph County Public Library Indiana from the South Bend Tribune: dated January 19, 1987.

Irene Raber
Irene Raber, 76, of Beaufort, S.C., formerly of South Bend, died at 8:25 pm Saturday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Raber was born December 5, 1910, in Hungary, and lived in South Bend until 1978 before moving to Beaufort. On August 16, 1930 in South Bend, she married William B. Raber. He died in 1967. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Mitchell of Altona, Iowa; and a son William E. of Beaufort; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ann Sarka, Catherine Grabowski, Theresa Radecki, all of South Bend, and Helen Kuzan of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Frank Radics of Sun City, Arizona, and Mike Radics of Mishawaka.
Services will be held at 3pm Wednesday in Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call after 10 am Wednesday until services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Royal (S.C.) Baptist Church building fund. She was a member of the church.

William B. Raber
William B. Raber, 58, of 12561 Beckley Rd., Granger, died at 10pm Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a 10-week illness. He was born Februrary 5, 1909, in Knox, and had lived in Granger 31 years. On August 16, 1930, in South Bend, he married Irene Radics, who survives, along with his stepmother, Mrs. Cleo Raber, of Harrisburgh, Illinois; a son William E. Raber, with the Marine Corps in South Carolina; a daughter, Mrs Barbara Mitchell, of Altoona, Iowa; four grandchildren and a brother, Donald of South Bend. Friends may call after 7pm today in the Hollis Funeral Home, where seervices will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, with Rev. Sidney Sandusky of Granger Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. He was an employee of the Studebaker Corp. for 35 years.

May 19, 2001: I received a copy of Joseph's obit and funeral notes from the South Bend Tribune dated September 26, 1983: it says:
Joseph M. Radics

Joseph M. Radics, 70, of 14700 Day Road, died at 1:16 am today after a year's illness. He retired from Bendix Corp. after 28 years. Radics was born on March 15, 1913, and lived in the area all his life. On June 6, 1937, he married the former Lola McNutt, who died on January 14, 1978. Surviving are four daughters, Ms. Gloria Miller of Berrien Springs, Mi., and Ms. Frances Radics, Ms. Linda Radics and Mrs. Gloria Heiden...(should have been Shirley Heiden), all of South Bend; three sons, Herbert of Florida and James and Kenneth of South Bend: 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Raber of Buford, S.C., Mrs. Helen Kuzan of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Anne Sarka, Mrs. Theresa Radecki, and Mrs. Katherine Grabowski, all of South Bend, and two brothers, Mike of Mishawaka, and Frank of South Bend.
Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Bill Faiella, assistant pastor of Little Flower Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetary, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in the funeral chapel.

MMA LEA TINCHER:
I have recently found out (January 2001) that my mom's side of the family are related to the Tincher's in the book "The Tincher Tribe" the only thing...after talking to some older 2nd cousins...the lady did get facts mixed up and some even wrong as far as our branch of the tree...the one fact that is correct is that our family did come to the U.S. from Germany.
