Parker Brown and 105. Sarah W Bell. He married 53. Ann Brown Unknown 20 October 1836 in Hamilton co Ohio1643,1644,1645.

Notes for David W Brown:
David and his young siblings received money from their father's estate in April 1824, which money was to be used for their support (21). David is listed as the father of Marion Brown on Marion's death certificate (1). 3 Nov 1836, David Brown married Ann Eliza Winslow in Hamilton co Ohio (10). Appears in the 1840 census of Ripley county Indiana with his household consisted of 2m<5,1m20-30, 1f 20-30 (5). 10 Jan 1848 David W Brown of Hamilton co Ohio bought land in Ripley county Indiana from Isaac Fuller (11). He paid $800 for 160 acres of land that was NE Qr of S35-T10-R11E (11). 27 April 1848 David and Annie sold 40 acres of land to Sarah Ruby and her son Robert Ruby (12). This land was the NW 1/4 of the SW Qr in S13-T8-R10E (12). 12 Jan 1849, David bought 40 acres adjacent to this lot from his brother John M Brown for $347.00 (13-p266). 16 March 1849 David bought 80 acres of land from the Goodwins for $500 and another 48 acres from the Corbens for $400 (13-p471). This same day he sold to Edwin Goodwin the same 40 acres he bought from John M Brown in Jan for $300 and sold 80 acres of land to Battagard Valfberrier of Hamilton county Ohio for $700 (13-p473,514)
Listed in the 1850 census of Indiana in Ripley co, Otter Creek p 356 (2). He is listed as age 33, farmer, real estate valued at $1200, born in Kentucky and illiterate (2). Most of Marion's census records list his father born in Indiana. There are other Browns next door and nearby in the 1850 Indiana: James Brown 27 y/o born in KY, and John M Brown 40 y/o born in KY (2). Marion is listed in David's household as Francis M (2). 10 Oct 1854 David bought 40 acres of land from Robert B and Amanda Ruby (14). 16 Aug 1855 David bought 119 7/8 acres from Michael Cabel (15) and that same day sold 18 acres of land to his brother John M Brown (15). 22 Nov 1855, David paid $400 for land he bought from David H and Susan Griggs (15). 29 June 1856 Sarah Ruby and Ruth Brown entered into an indenture with David in which they said out of consideration for their maintenance and the house that David had built for them they would release a bond they held on David Brown (15). 8 Aug 1857 David sold land to John Wernke (the same land that David purchased from Isaac Fuller in 1848) (16). In this deed a woman named Rachel Brown also signed the deed with him (16).
In 1860 he was still in Ripley county, now in Center twp, listed as 43 y/o born in Kentucky with his real estate at an enviable $5000 and personal estate valued at $1000 (3). He was living with his wife and children (3). In 1870 he was still in Ripley co in Otter Creek where he was 53 y/o, illiterate but quite well of with real estate values at $7000 and personal estate at $1000 (4). His wife Annie and most of their children, some daughters-in-law and grandchildren living with them (4). 11 Jan 1870 he bought some land from Nelson Urmaston (17). 23 Feb 1871 he and Annie sold 20 acres each of adjoining tracts to two of his Ruby relatives (18). 21 Dec 1876, David and Annie sold 80 acres of land to their son Albert Brown (19). David was still in the same location in 1880 where he was listed as 64 y/o, born in KY, father and mother born in KY (6).
David made his will 30 April 1890 and after requesting his just debts be paid, left the use etc of the farm to his wife Anna and his daughter Ellen (8). His other bequests were to be carried out only after Anna's death and then he mentioned his son Francis M Brown as one of his sons who were to divide the residue (8). His will was proven 13 Oct 1891 (8) (9).
He died 26 Sept 1891 aged 75 y 4 m 22 d and is buried with Annie in Otter Village cemetery (7). His obituary is very informative giving his place of birth as Nicholas county KY and that his father moved the family to near Versailles Indiana where he died when David was 7 (20). His mother remarried to Samuel Ruby who moved the family to Elrod Indiana and then back to Versailles and Otter Creek (20).
It gives his date of marriage to his wife (her maiden name is not listed) as 26 Oct 1836 (20). He was described as sociable, friendly , honest, charitable and the large crowd at the funeral indicated his high esteem (20).

Annie was included in the household of David Brown in Ripley county in 1840 (4). Listed in the 1850 Indiana census as 30 y/o and born in Ohio (1) with her name spelled as Hannah (1). She was in the 1860 Indiana Census in Ripley county, still living with David and their children, aged 41 , born in Ohio (2). Listed again in the 1870 census, 52 y/o, illiterate and born in Ohio (3). Listed again in 1880, same location, aged 64 , born in Ohio, father and mother born in Ohio (5).
David Brown made his will 30 April 1890 and left to Annie the use etc of the farm and all bequests beyond paying his just debts were not to be carried out until after her death (7).
Annie died 9 March 1896 and on her tombstone her birthdate is listed as 14 Sept 1818 (6). She is buried with David Brown in Otter Village cemetery, Indiana (6). David died 26 Sept 1891 (8).
Annie's obituary said she was born in Clinton county Ohio and that she died after suffering from cancer of the temple (9).
