6. JOSHUA6 ENGLISH (THOMAS5, JOHN4, THOMAS3, WILLIAM2, THOMAS1)1 was born 24 June 1701 in Moate-Turphelim, Westmeath, Ireland, and died Bef. 01 January 1771 in Cravens Co., SC (now Camden SC). He married MARY HOLMES 15 January 1724/25 in Lismoyney, Moate, Westmeath, Ireland. She was born 1704 in Bolgart, Kings Co., Ireland, and died 1789 in Cravens Co., SC (now Camden SC).

OSHUA ENGLISH:
Joshua English and wife, Mary Holmes, arrived in Charles Town Harbor (present day Charleston) from Ireland on the ship "Hitchcock" (Capt. Peter Gibson of Whitehaven England) in August 1753 with two children, Thomas 22 and Elizabeth 18. They were Quakers.
