I am researching the Shipman family from Terre Haute, Indiana. William Joseph Shipman first appears in the 1880 census, but I can't find his family before that. He married Emily Headley in ca 1870's and they had two daughters: Minnie, Elizabeth and four sons: Frances (Frank), Arthur, Alvin, Clyde.
In addition, I'm researching the Foster family of Jasper County, Illinois.
