Sahir Shivji has single-handedly raised more than $2,200 for World Partnership Walk.

Radio India Interviewer:

So, this cute little boy standing right in front of me, because he cannot seat and come near to microphone. You can imagine how much confidence he must be having. His name is Sahir Shivji. He is only seven years old. First of all, bete, welcome to the studios.

Sahir:

Thank you.

Radio India Interviewer:

Speak little louder and eh… so as I said your name is Sahir Shivji, and you are only seven years old. What made you join this foundation?

Sahir:

Well, I have four main reasons why I am participating in the World Partnership Walk

Radio India Interviewer:

Uhuh (acknowledgment)…

Sahir:

is because, the president of World Bank said “In our world of six billion people, one billion of the people own 80 percent of the wealth, while the other five billion struggle to survive on less than dollar a day. This is a world out of balance!”

It’s like 6 people going to Pizza Hut and ordering a large pizza. The large pizza has 10 slices. One person eat 8 slices, while the other 5 people had to share the remaining 2 slices. Is this fair? No, I don’t think so.

Radio India Interviewer:

Very good example.

Sahir:

The second reason is because the Aga Khan Foundation Canada provides “Smart Solutions”.

It’s like when I get homework to do. My parents don’t give me the answers to the questions. They help me in finding the solutions.

The third reason, Why I am participating in the World Partnership Walk is because I want to feel the pain of the children that they would feel when walking for miles and miles to get water from the water wells, or walk to school.

And the final reason, why I am participating in the Walk is because it is a Canadian effort, and I am proud to be a Canadian.

And those are my four main reasons why I am participating in the Walk Partnership Walk. So let’s Help Overcome Poverty Everywhere, which stands for HOPE.

Radio India Interviewer:

Great, great, Sahir and you are absolutely great and your examples are so touching. I mean may god bless you for your own future. If at the age of seven, you have that kind of vision. If we have children, you know like that kind of thinking in this world today. There is no way that we cannot get rid of this poverty. You are absolutely great, I wish you every success in your future endeavors, and I respect you, I salute you at the age of seven, you are thinking and participating in this kind of charitable organization. Anything else you want to say Sahir?

Sahir:

No

Radio India Interviewer:

Okay, thank you very much….And let me tell you, Sahir Shivji spoke without reading a paper, absolutely…
