Notes for Elizabeth ?: Elizabeth of Halifax Co. was widowed by 1771. She purchased 322 A. from Daniel Dean March 10, 1771. On Dec. 19, 1782, together with another son, William, she bought a grist mill and 72 A. on Brush Creek.
By Feb. 2, 1814, Elizabeth Stone is deceased according to the Halifax Co. Wills #9, pg.401-402, because her estate inventory was taken on this day. Heirs to Elizabeth's estate were William Stone, John Stone, Eusibus Stone, Sally Davis, Joseph White and wife Anna, Thomas Bailey and wife Elizabeth. They sold 72 A. on Brush Creek to George Stone on Oct. 31, 1815. In this transaction, Jonathan Stone acted as attorney for John and Eusibius who had probably already migrated west at that time.
The connecting link hasn't been proven, but is belived that this Elizabeth STONE is one and the same as the Elizabeth Robertson who married William Stone and migrated from York Co., VA to the Lunenburg Co. area.
