This page is for the discussion and shared research of the ancestors and family of Dana Pride Shuler and his wife Nellie Nancy Chaddock.The Boring and Shuler familes are the lines extending from Dana Shuler's mother and father, and the Welch and Chaddock families extend from the lines of Nellie Chaddock's mother and father.

The family of Dana and Nellie (Chaddock) Shuler is based in Ingham County, Michigan, where most of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren still live. Research on the four family lines has taken us back as far as 17th century Ireland and England, as well as 18th century Germany. We are very interested in hearing from fellow researchers who have found a link into one of our main families.     This photo was found in the possession of a non-relative in the early 1990's. The woman who had the photo said that Nellie had been a friend of her mother years and years ago.

    This is a postcard photo of Nellie with her son Harold who is about 2 years old in this photo. The photo was taken in Marysville, OH, so it would seem that they were down there visiting Dana's family. On the back it is addressed "To Dana and Victor" and the message reads "Two old pals." The date is "July 29, 1915."

    This is supposed to be a picture of Willis Victor Shuler (according to Ruth Reeser - granddaughter of Willis). However, the back of the picture has Dana's handwriting saying "great-grandfather". That would be William Shuler Sr.?
