He was born about 1768 Probably in West Virginia. His parents probably came to the United States sometime in the mid 1700's. We beleive they came from Germany but have no information on them.John Shuman married Elizabeth Smith who probably also came from Germany but we have no verification on her and we also do not know who her parents were.Any information on them would be greatly appreciated.
