I am by no means a real geneologist. This page represents my attempts to put together information on the lineage of myself, Sharlyn Beth Shaw of Georgia and my husband,Charles Hardy Roszel of Michigan. There is no doubt there are many errors in fact, but I've done my best to be accurate and document the information included here. If you are browsing and see errors or have additions/connections please let me know.

The more I read and research the more apparent it is that we are all inter-related. The lines merge and seperate repeatedly and more often the further into history they go.

I believe it is important to document who we are and where we come from. We document who we are for those who come after us. We look at our forefathers and ancestors to learn from them about who we are and where we have come from. The insights gained by getting a glimpse of our genetic heritage is invaluable. Seeing the patterns of migrations is fascinating. Envisioning the struggles, triumpts and day-to-day lives of our ancesters is interesting.

All of this is read taking into account that the histories are written through the perspective of the writers - and therefore are by nature flawed. But even the spin the storytellers of history put on the facts tells us a story.

The information included here is drawn from the work others have generously shared, internet resources, data collected from Family Tree Maker data sources, LDS website, and miscellaneous other sources. Of course, family tales and legends are included.

Thanks for peeking in :)
