The Baase Family Home Page

I am searching for information regarding both my mother and father's families.
My father's parents, Carl and Metha Baase emmigrated to Maryland from Germany in the early 1920's. The region they came from was the former East Germany. I am interested in knowing about any relatives still living in Germany. I am also looking for information about my father's older brother Ernie Baase, who died long before I was born. My father's name was Albert Baase.

I have very little information about my mother's parents. My mother's maiden name was Lillian Markle, and she was born in Rochester, NY in 1925. Her ailing mother put her, her brother, Eugene, and her sister, Marion in an orphanage after her father left suddenly. My mother returned to live with her mother in Illinois after she remarried. I am also interested in information about my mother's stepfather.

My mother was twice married before she married my father. I am also looking for information about her ex-husbands, whose last names were Pohill and Cline. I believe my mother was married to Mr. Pohill around 1947 and to Mr. Cline around 1955.

Both my parents have passed away, and I would love to fill in the missing pieces. I will gladly give any information I have.
