Notes for Teresa M'Cauley: TERESA McAULEY, BORN IN SCOTLAND, came to Kinvara to live with an Aunt a Mrs. Johnsons at the age of 18, A match was made between her and Joe Mannix (he was about fifty years old at that time) 3 sons were born to this union, all three had to leave home and go to the United States, as W.J.S. would not have them in their home. The Mannix / McAuley marriage was frought with distrust and Jealousy while Joe lived.
Teresa had a brother, ( Uncle Mac ) who was a ship building engineer, and he worked in the yards in Goven just outside Glasgow. He too was married twice, His second wife was known to us as Aunt Maggie, a very jovial ,friendly and kind lady. He had one daughter of whom we know nothing at this point.
