Notes for Bessie Allen: Bess Allen McMurry, 103, widow of T. E. McMurry, died Saturday, June 3, 2000 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility.
Born May 9, 1897 in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary Elizabeth Yowell Allen.
She was a member of Joseph Chapel Methodist Church and a housewife.
Survivors include: one nephew, Donald L. Cole, Harrodsburg; one great nephew, Stanley Jordon Jr., Hamilton, OH.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, June 6, at Spring Hill Cemetery by Rev. Mark Girard.
Memorials are suggested to the Haggin Memorial Hospital.
McClellan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
There was no visitation.
