Notes for Arthur DuBignon Horton: Daddy has a wonderful bass voice and still loves to sing at 84. He recently participated in an Elderhostel for singers.He has always had a "green thumb" and an artistic streak enjoying carpentry and stained glass making.He could always repair anything.He still travels back and forth from Fl. to Tenn. driving himself in his new Camry.Wondeful News! On April 13,2002 Dad is marrying Marianne Pierce in St. Augustine,Fl.. Kate and I will have two new sisters Judy and Nancy. Will write more when I return from the wedding.The wedding was wonderful and united two families. I am sad to report that our beloved Daddy passed away from a very fast stomach cancer which had gone into his lymph nodes before he was diagnosed.He died two weeks to the day after his diagnosis with Marianne,Katie, Carolyn and Nancy by his side. We were at Katie's Apt. and had Hospice to help us.They were truly a God send. Daddy died at peace with his descision not to have chemo or radiation and at peace with us for carrying out his last wishes. He is buried next to Mother at the Memorial Garden at The United Church in Oak Ridge, Tenn
