Ethel Florence Jackson (daughter of James Jackson and Cora Alice Brace) was born 14 Oct 1914 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and died 14 Apr 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida,buried Chapel on the Hill Memorial Garden,Oak Ridge, Tn.. She married Arthur DuBignon Horton on 11 Oct 1944 in Oak Ridge, Tenessee at United Church, Chapel on the Hill, son of Edgar Cromwell Horton and Carrie Belle Giles.
Notes for Ethel Florence Jackson: Mother was a gifted musician playing a variety of instruments especially pianoand organ. She taught elementary school grades 1-8 and school music. She alwaysdirected musical programs for Claxton School in Anderson Co.Tenn.She loved arts and crafts and sewing and always had some project or another going.She was anavid bird watcher and nature lover. In Fl. she played electronic organ with a seniors band until she became too ill to play,then she programed the organ to play for her.
