Welcome to my new Homepage! I am currently doing research on my materal grandparents, Russell and Henrietta Purviance Frye. Russell and Henrietta had 11 children, Phillip, Herbert, Geraldine, Pauline, Marjorie, Junior, Eva, Betty, Joan, Clyde and John. Russell Frye's parents were Marion Frye and Clara Bailey. Henrietta's parents were Captain Samuel Purviance and Lydia Campbell. Samuel was a Captain in the Cival War. Samuel Was born Chamberburg, Franklin County, Pennslyvania on June 23, 1838. He moved to Cass County in Logansport Indiana. On April 13, 1861 he enlisted in the 9th Indiana INfantray in WestVirginia. I am very eager to find out more about Samuel and his role in the Cival War. Any information you might have and be willing to share will be greatly appreciated by my family. I am very willing to share the data I have collected so far. |
