            Obituary of Sarah C. Gillespie

Sister Gillespie, whose maiden name was Hooper, was born in Jackson County on August 6, 1830. Departed this life at the home of her daughter, Sister Nancy Cairnes March 12th 1912.
Sister Gillespie joined the church at this place by experience and Baptism January 22, 1853, which relation she sustained at the time of her departure. Trusting that our loss is her gain and that her spirit is now with her savior. Resolved that this be spread on our records in memory of Sister Gillespie and a copy be sent to her daughter and family with whom she resided during her last illness.
